We made it to Bergen, Norway! It's Sunday morning here and the family's starting to get up after about 10-11 hours of needed sleep last night. We're in a second story Air B&B apartment near the National Theater and Ole Bulls Pass neighborhoods of Bergen. It's a nice part of town and super central to almost everything.
The only hiccup in our flights yesterday was a 2-hour delay leaving Reykjavik, Iceland. Something went askew with the computer checkin system, apparently, so we spent about 2 hours on the tarmac. Not ideal but mostly we spent that extra time catching up on sleep.
It was 3:00 or so by the time we settled in Bergen yesterday. The sun was shining - rare, here, I guess - and a Pride celebration was dominating the area. We did a lot of strolling. We snacked on some grocery store food, relaxed a little and got our bearings in the city. It's a beautiful place, a great start to our trip, and place I'm excited to see more of today!
